Power Rangers is a live action superhero television series and a merchandising franchise which aims to entertain kids, and adults. The show revolved around five superheroes in uni-colored spandex with a mission to stop villains.
The first Power Rangers series debut in the year 1993. It was created by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. It was so popular that it had comics, films, television series, plays, video games and audio track adaptations. Because of its action-violence concept, the show received a lot of negative criticisms especially from parents.
Yet, it did not stop the franchise distribution and still continues to entertain us to date. As of 2016, the show has produced 23 seasons and two theatrical films. A reboot of the action series is soon to come out in cinemas on March 24, 2017.
Now, that a motion picture is upcoming, the critiques continue to bash the popularly known action series to whether it will still contain inappropriate violence for kids? The question remains if it will follow the footsteps of the once-“cartoonized” films such as Transformers and G.I Joe, which came out more violent and dark on the big screen. Here are some things you might want to know about the upcoming Power Rangers film.
The Trailer – Power Rangers: Discover The Power
The teaser trailer is almost 3-minute long that wets our appetite. It goes to show the main characters and what is clear from the trailer is that they all share one common thing at school, which is being the “unique one”. That’s what bonds them together until one day they go off to a dark place and find something that changes their lives. From then on, things aren’t the same, changes start to happen, things that they cannot explain or understand. They become, lets say… ‘more unique’. They discover powers that help them change the world. The trailer also showcases the much-awaited villain.
